ASAP Plumbing

Don't do it! One of worst contracting experiences imaginable. Totally unprofessional and inept.

I wrote a review and it did not show up, so this is my second. My water line was busted. My meter was spinning rapidly. The water company shut my water off. I called many plumbers and Asap is the only company that would answer. All the other companies I left messages for never returned my calls either. They came out. I knew that my lines were old but they told me they needed changed. They gave me a price, it seemed reasonable but I am just like everyone else I like to get the best deal possible. I called I could not even get a second estimate. So I went with Asap. The fixed all my lines and showed me pictures of what they did under my floors. I've had no problems since. I recommend them to all my friends.

I would not recommend this plumbing business to anyone. I had ASAP'S Plumbing out to do an estimate on a plumbing job. I had a pipe to break loose underneath my house that was leading from my kitchen sink. Everything that was leaving our kitchen sink drain was spilling unto the ground underneath our house. I had previously had Shepherd's Plumbing out to do an estimate, and they had estimated the job at $3,500.00. I didnot know when I called ASAP'S Plumbing that the owner was a brother to the owner of Shepherd's Plumbing. I told ASAP'S owner that we had previously had a local plumber to come out to do an estimate whom we felt had unfairly priced the job, however, I did not tell him who did the estimate or how much the estimate was.. We felt totally at a loss because we have not lived in this rural Kentucky area long enough to know the reputation of any plumber. Up until this time we had not needed the service of a plumber. ASAP'S owner told me that he would charge me $75.00 to come out to do the estimate. We were willing to pay him $75.00 to come out and do the estimate simply because we felt that surely this person would deal with us fairly. When he came out, I was gone and he charged my husband $150.00. ASAP didnot look over the job to do an estimate. They estimated the job solely on what my husband told them. Their estimate was $2,800.00 Unusual don't you think. However, not so unusual to actually not view the job to do an estimate if you consider that he already knew that a local plumber in this area had giving us what we considered to be an unfair price. Did the owner of ASAP get off the phone with me and call his brother at Shepherd's Plumbing? Well! I have know way of knowing that. However, I believe that he picked up the phone and inquired. I feel that his brother told him that he had been to our house to do an estimate and that he had estimated the job at $3,500.00. ASAP'S estimation was enough below his brothers that we would certainly think he was more fair than the other plumber. Do I know that ASAP'S owner and Shepherd's Plumbing owner are brothers. Yes, I do know that. Did I eventually get someone to come into my home with a very reasonable estimate? Yes, I did. What was the vey fair estimate? $147.00 How much had ASAP'S and Shepherd's Plumbing inflated their prices? Subtracting $3,3500.00 from $147.00 that equals $3,354.00. Subtracting $2,800.00 from $147.00 that equals $2,653.00. SO VERY GROSSLY UNFAIR! ARE INNOCENT PEOPLE BEING TAKING ADVANTAGE OF? YOU DECIDE THAT. BEWARE SENIOR CITIZEN'S OF WHO COMES INTO YOUR HOME TO DO AN ESTIMATE!
