Is this even a legitimate company? So I parked in a parking garage today that said "permit only". Not living in St. Petersburg or familiar, I placed my college parking permit the school told me to use prior to this and thought I was good. I came out to fund my car gone. When I called I was told it was $106 to get my car and had to be cash. Not knowing anyone or the area, I asked the driver where I can find a bank or ATM. He didn't know! When I asked how far has shop was he told me about 1 and a half miles away and gave me an address. I told him I had to walk but not familiar with area. Instead of being a decent human being, he laughed and said "it is a long walk". Being a woman alone, in downtown St. Pete not knowing the area, it took me 3 hours to find this shop. I spoke with the driver 2 more times, who found it funny I walked in a circle. It was close to 90 degrees outside and I was wearing a sweater. Upon, teaching the shop (3 hours later with severe dehydration and blisters on the bottom of my feet, they take me in the back where the attitudes are unprofessional. He automatically tells me he is instructed to not pick anyone up. I told him, I didn't ask to be picked up, but I am a woman walking unknown territory and to be a gentleman and call a local cab company. Or give the right directions. His buddy came around the corner chiming in. When I got my car, he tells me to have a better day. I told him it takes zero dollars to be a decent person and he should try it. Through out the day, I honestly felt like these punks just took my cash. What kind of fly by night is this joint. I have blisters on the bottom of my feet and had got sick from the heat while walking. I am considering calling Channel 8 on your side! I had to give this company one star against my better judgment!

I WAITED 4-1/2 HOURS FOR THIS COMPANY TO PICK UP MY TRUCK! THE OWNER LIED TO ME OVER A CONSECUTIVE 4 PHONE CALLS! THEY DIDNT EVEN TAKE MY VEHICLE AS PROMISED ONCE IT WAS PICKED UP TO THE DEALERSHIP. I FINALLY RECEIVED A CALL THE NEXT DAY AT 1130 LETTING ME KNOW THE VEHICLE FINALLY ARRIVED!!!!! OH IT GETS BETTER..... They were given the wrong keys!!!!!!!!! Wow just wow!

My experience was awful.

I am a mom with a young baby and had a long day. My drone came over late at night to help me. She parked in guest parking and as she went out to move her car, John with A1 Towing (that's the name he gave me) was trying to tow her car. This is a private residential community and the agreement is that they can't tow your car if you come out to move it. He threatened us and said we had to pay him $50 in cash in 5 min otherwise he would tow the car 30 min away where it would be an hour or driving plus over $100 to get the car back. It could only be cash. I didn't have any cash as I could only offer a check or credit card but that wasn't accepted, so I had to tell him please not to tow the car and he would get his money. He continued to threaten us. I had to get my husband to drive out and get the money while having to handle the baby. He was just horrible. He would answer simple

Questions like will you please not tow the car if we get you the cash. Response, "just get the cash!" Is all he would say over and over. It upset me and my husband and my baby was screaming in the background obviously upset by what was going on.

As far as I can tell this company hires criminals who bully and swindle people. This not the first incident with this company I have observed. My friend was literally tricked a couple months ago. She had asked a guy that was in a two truck from A1 if it was okay if she could drop something off to me with my small baby. This was before I even knew about towing in this area as I had just moved there. The tow man literally tricked her and played dumb like it was okay an in less than 5 min took her car and towed it 30 min away. When he said it was fine for her to drop off something. We called to explain what happened and they were impossible and they would not be in the car back but we had to drive an hour round trip and give them around $125 or whatever the fee was. I didn't have the name of this one. It he also worked for A1 Towing.

Of course I reported this to the head of the Condo Association where I live and she called them up this morning to bring up to them that there was an agreement in place with our community in the contract and she was told that the management had switched and they couldn't find evidence of that so they won't guarantee I get my money back.

Whatever you do do not hire these guys to handle towing for a residential community. My condo association has them on hire from

Thanks A-Hole Recovery. Absolute uneducated LOSERS!!! I parked to actually shop at Publix and they saw a Hummer with jet ski's on trailer and thought they would cash in and charge me double. Little do they know the hotel comped my room for both nights so I actually came out ahead. I'll trade $230 for $535 any day. Thanks again A-Hole Recovery.

Nasty south beach tow wanna be. My LandRover was clearly marked overheated will be back in a few hours to get it and the little redneck punk towed anyway. Then has an attitude telling me u should have called aaa. I don't have AAA. Car needed to cool down. Sunday if Labor Day weekend where u finding a working mechanic. May that $106 be used on medicine by you .

IF YOU LIKE BEEING SCAMED AND RIPEDOFF TO THE BONE,JUST HAVE YOUR CAR TOWED BY THIS BOGOUS OUTFIT. THEY DONT RECOGNIZE OR FOLLOW THE PREVAILING LAWS AND STATUES,THEY MAKE THEIR OWN

"LAWS". ALSO THEY DOUBLE OR TRIPLE THEIR TOW CHARGES WITHOUT ANY VALID EXPLANATION.THEY PRAY ON THE HELPLESS CONSUMER WHO NEEDS HIS VEHICLE BADLY.THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS CRIMINALS IS IN A COURT OF LAW,WITCH WE INTEND ON DOING.SCOTT IS THE NAME OF SOCALLED OWNER OR MANAGER.
