        Abintra Montessori School, founded by a small group of parents, is an independent, nonprofit, educational organization that offers educational opportunities for children ages 3 through 15 years. The school offers Montessori-based education that integrates arts, Spanish, community service learning and outdoor education into the academic curriculum. The admission policy at Abintra Montessori School gives equal consideration to all children with no distinction of class, culture or intelligence. The school is a member of American Montessori Society and TN Association of Independent Schools. The institute organizes positive discipline parenting classes, gardening programs, and human growth and development programs. In addition to bringing practicing artists into the classrooms, Abintra Montessori School takes its elementary and middle school students out into the community for first-hand experiences with theater and dance productions, art exhibits, studios and concerts. The school is located in Nashville, Tenn.

        Instruction

        Children are treated in an individual, respectful manner. There are inclusive field trips on a regular basis that help students explore academic content in real world settings
        The guides use positive discipline to build confidence in children while teaching them personal life skills
        The rigor is high, and every student learns at his or her level.
        I cannot recommend this school highly enough. My child looks forward to going to school every day.
