        Took my 2013 Ford Focus, with only 41000 miles in for a state inspection and it failed and was told I need a new tie rod. Took it to the dealer for the work to be done, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the tie rod was just fine, and they tightened a screw. When I brought my car back for reinspection I could not have been treated more rudely by John, probably not his real name, made to wait until after he took in customers that came after me. Never again will we be bringing our cars to Valvoline for inspection and oil changes.

        My wife recently took our car ...

        My wife recently took our car to the Valvoline service center in Nashua NH (603) 886-9591 for a routine oil change on 8/10/2011. I was surprised to see a bill for $80.68 As I usually do my own oil changes, I thought the price was rather high. So I decided to inspect the car to see what an $80.00 oil change buys me. Unfortunately I found the following deficiencies.



        1. Oil all over the undercarriage of the car

        2. Windshield fluid not filled as indicated in bill

        3. Tire pressures were different than shown on bill



        Needless to say, I was quite dissatisfied so I decided to call the store manager, Mike Dougherty. I explained my situation and asked for a more detailed explanation of my wife's bill. Mike essentially told me that the categories such as parts and labor subtotals really didn't mean anything so he couldn't give me an itemized bill. (That's a bit odd) When I asked about a charge labeled extra oil for $7.69 I was told that because I needed more that 6 quarts of oil (6.10 quarts to be exact) I was charged for the next full quart. So I paid the full quart price of $7.69 and received 1/10th of a quart of oil. When I explained the oil on my undercarriage Panel (where the tech changed the oil filter) He told me that it wasn't Valvoline's mistake and that I should bring the car in so they could look for a leak. Yeah right, bring my car in and what, charge me $100 to adjust my rear view mirror? I recommend staying away from these guys. Hope my reviews helps someone. Good luck
