Chapala

I will agree the prices are good. The food is average, nothing to rave about. The service is fine, quick, but again not at all extraordinary. The atmosphere is wanting.

Not long ago we ordered out and were pleased with the speed with which it was prepared. The food was alright but somewhat dry and a little skimpy. We assumed that is was just the take-out quality (sometimes in-restaurant food is better than take-out. We decided to give it another go and dined in this time. Again the food was ok. The rice was quite salty and everything was a bit dry ( I ordered enchiladas, not a dry dish). The service was again quick maybe a bit rushed even. The atmosphere was poor. All the tables were filled on one side of the restaurant with a steady trickle in and out, people sometimes waiting for their table to be bussed. The other side was not in use at all, the light were out. I can imagine that this would save the restaurant money, however filling all tables on only one side made it quite loud and a bit crowded.

All around I would say this is an average to below average restaurant, not bad, but not great either.

If I could give Chapala's in Nampa 10 stars I would. WE LOVE THIS PLACE! The food is so good and the service is nothing short of excellent.

I cannot give the same recommendation for the other area Chapala's, we have tried them and they do not compare to the Nampa location.

Try the chicken burritos, yum!
