Sonny's Nails

I decided to go to Sonya Nails 1st time visiting, close to my house for a pedicure. Not a good reception, but not a bad one either. Said I was the for a pedicure, sent to pick a color, then to an empty chair. A few min later the tech or owner starts my water with the sprinkle sprout, it was Luke warm, she put on my skin, ask if the temp was ok, I said yes. After a few min, put my feet in the shadow of water, and found it to be a little too luke warm and all the tech to as a little more hot. She turned it up hot, but wanted to continue to have it flow on the skin of my leg instead of in the water, but when I ask her to put it in the water instead of on my skin, she almost refused, and then told me, I better not say it's too hot later with an attitude, twice. I responded and told her, if it's too hot she would just gave to cool it off. As the water filled up in the spa, it was just the way I like it. She left the station saying something in another language under her breath. As I sat there now a little perturbed, I just watched to see what was going to happen next. Other stations and techs were opening up, no one else was coming in, and no one said anything to me like she will be right with you, nothing. After about 10 mins of waiting for the original tech to come back and other available techs just walking past, I asked one of them to turn my machine off because I was leaving. The tech barely dried my feet, so I dried them myself and informed I did not like their service and would take my business elsewhere. As I was walking out, I wondered what happened to the 1st tech, well, she was doing someones nails. She on purpose left me at the foot spa tub because I would not let her run hot water on my skin, instead of in the water. Got my pedicure and manicure at the spa around the corner, and all I was going in was for a pedicure. Much better service. I'm not sure who goes to Sonnys Nail spa Munster, In. . But I would not recommend going. I was the only African American in the shop at the time, this made me feel like I was judged from the moment I walked into that spa. . . ijs. .
