        Needs a manager that practices customer service

        I has an outdoor wedding planned which we were paying over $2,000 in rental equiptment from this company. One rental was a tent canopy that we paid a $460.00 deposit on. This is non-refundable (no matter when or why you may have to cancel). We had a huge issue arrive with the property and had to change locations and date, so we canceled our order or put the order on hold pretty much until we could make changes for later, 9 weeks in advance to the date. Called and asked to talk to a manager to see if we could use that deposit towards the new location and rentals needed when the time comes. We weren't expecting a refund but since it was 2 months in advance and we were planning on using this vendor again we were hoping it would be held as a deposit and put towards our rental needs in the future. Fat chance, first of all it took 5 days for someone to call me back. Than a girl called and when I returned her call she was short and unprofessional kept reitterating that she was willing to do an exception and allow us to use the money towards another tent rental only until the end of the year. My response to that was well what if the new location doesnt need a tent can we apply that towards other rental needs which we will definetly need anyways. So they would be making more money in the end, and I expressed this and her remark was "well, we feel we have done enough on our end". well what did you do actually, I had up to 7 days prior to the date of the event to cancel everything and I did 9 weeks in advance and we are just asking that our deposit be held and used towards the neccessary rentals at the new location and date? Seems to be a square deal since you'd be making more in the long run anyways. Also giving us a timeline to use it, is ridicolous! Its stressful enough dealing with a huge change for our wedding and having to find another location but to deal with a company that won't meet you half way and accomodate you to keep your business, NO WAY. Use Grand Rentals they are willing to match prices and accomodate your needs and seem to know what customer service is TRULY about.
