        Mount Vernon Christian School is a private school with an enrollment of more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Established in 1951, the school promotes Biblical values and offers language, literature, mathematics and computer programs. Its athletic activities include cross-country, soccer and volleyball. Mount Vernon Christian School also conducts music, art and physical education classes. Its high school curriculum helps young people prepare for further studies in colleges and technical and military schools. The school additionally organizes spelling competitions, interscholastic sports, drama workshops and musical performances. Mount Vernon Christian School also operates a chess club and chapel team and is located in Mount Vernon, Wash.
