        Mt. Vernon Junior High School offers educational programs to more than 600 students in grades six through eight. It provides various subjects that include English, mathematics, physical education, electives, business, and language, performing and fine arts. The school s subjects also include foreign languages, social studies, and health and special education. It has various clubs that include culture, magazine, ski, snowboard and spirit clubs. The school provides a variety of extracurricular activities that include dance, drama, the National Honor Society, a student council and yearbook. The sports activities offered by the school include softball, tennis, golf, cross country, soccer, football, volleyball and wrestling.
