Pediatric Care
Pleasant Pediatrics is always looking for qualified and caring Physicians, Mid-Levels, Medical Assistants, Front Office Receptionists, and Billers. Primary Care
Leila earned her Bachelor of Science degree at UCLA in Physiological Science and then went on to work in a Neuroscience and Behavior laboratory in San Diego for several years. Prior to starting PA school, she also gained experience as an EMT and has fond memories of her interactions with children while on the ambulance. Leila always had an interest in working in Pediatrics, and her medical training in PA school further solidified this passion of hers. She focused her PA education on primary care, and received additional training in dermatology and cardiology. She has particular interest in childhood obesity prevention and pediatric dermatology. She looks forward to joining the Pleasant Pediatrics team and getting to know you and your family!
Family Practice
Before attending PA school, she had always been interested in working with the pediatric population. During her time at Midwestern University, she was able to solidify her passion for pediatrics while rotating through family medicine, general pediatrics, and the neonatal intensive care unit. She is excited to further her PA career while focusing on patient education, developmental milestones, health maintenance, and psychosocial behaviors. She is looking forward to joining the Pleasant Pediatrics team and caring for your family!
Emergency Care
In 2000, Dr. Santos moved back to Phoenix and has worked in private practice, pediatric emergency room, and as a preceptor to medical and nurse practitioner students. She wants to continue her passion of providing the best care to her patients and their families.
Flu Shots
We currently have flu shots in stock for private insurances. We do not have any flu in stock for state Medicaid/AHCCCS plans.
Immunizations
To obtain patient medical records please email MR@PleasantPediatrics.com and include a copy of your photo ID along with the completed “release form”. The fee is $6.50 per complete chart, this fee does not apply when only requesting immunization records

Mariah has always had a passion for the pediatric population and received additional training in pediatric urology while in PA school. She truly enjoys getting to know not only the child, but their families as well.

My name is Monica Seiger and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing since 2001. I am originally from New Jersey and I attended New York University for my master's in social work. I have many years experience providing therapy to children and families with concerns such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, life stressors and more.

Steven Lu, PA-C graduated from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2018 with a master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He has always had an interest in Pediatrics and received extra training in pediatric urology and psychiatry in PA school. He also enjoyed coordinating his school's student-led pediatric clinic. Steven received his bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at UCLA and has volunteered at numerous pediatric hospitals, worked as an EMT, and helped children in domestic violence shelters. Steven enjoys hiking, tennis, and playing music in his free time. He is excited to be a part of Pleasant Pediatrics and looks forward to meeting you and your family!

We offer same day sick appointments every day at all locations. For your convenience, we are currently open on Saturdays by appointment at our Lake Pleasant & Glendale locations for acute common childhood illnesses, routine well exams and flu shots. Phone lines are open from 8am to noon and appointments begin at 9am. Walk-in flu clinic is from 9am to 11am. Please contact our office with any questions or if you are in need of an appointment. (We do not take appointments for behavioral health, referral, FMLA or chronic conditions on Saturdays.)

Dr. Grassl grew up in Southwest Michigan and graduated from Wayne State University Medical School in Detroit, MI. She did her residency at Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. After residency, she completed 3 months of a Pediatric endocrinology fellowship at L.A. Children's Hospital, it was there she realized her true love was general pediatrics. She is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She worked as a general pediatrician in Kalamazoo, MI for 6 years before returning to the Phoenix area where she worked at Estrella Pediatrics (8 years) and MVP Kids Care (4 years) before finding her home here at Pleasant Pediatrics.

Dermatology
Fatima Farooqi, PA-C recently graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2015 with a Master of Medical Science (MMS) Degree in Physician Assistant Studies with a focus on pediatrics. She loves working with children, and enjoys being an important part of educating parents about their child's growth and development. She is especially interested in pediatric dermatology and loves exploring and learning about the different treatments of skin rashes and diseases. She is excited to start her career at a welcoming and friendly practice like Pleasant Pediatrics.
