Home Insurance
Prior to his role as Chief Underwriting Officer with Seneca, Keith McCarthy served as the Senior Vice President of Standard Lines in addition to Regional Vice President for Crum & Forster’s NY/NJ region. In his 22-year tenure with the company, Keith has been instrumental in the development of Seneca’s Package and Casualty division and continues to lead the company with underwriting expertise and strategic development. Keith has held various roles in primary and excess casualty at AIG, Commercial Union Insurance Company and The Home Insurance Company prior to joining to Seneca.
Landlord Insurance
Seneca Insurance Company provides solutions for properties at different phases – while vacant, during renovation and when occupied, offering the opportunity for agents to serve as a client’s resource during the entire real estate transitional process. Our solutions are designed to address the unique exposures of vacant properties and pivot to respond to builder’s risk exposures and when operational and/or occupied. We can convert our Builder’s Risk policy for office buildings, retail, and others to our Commercial Package policy, and a dwelling property into a Landlord insurance policy.

Long Term Care
While others in the industry shy away from difficult-to-place commercial property risks, Seneca welcomes submissions for habitational, assisted living facilities, long-term care, nursing homes, student housing, and industrial risks.

Commercial Property Insurance
The cost of Commercial Property insurance for vacant buildings will depend on a number of factors including the value of the property, the policy term, why the property is unoccupied, the security in place, and the property’s location. The policy premium is significantly impacted by the property’s security.
