Morristown-Beard School is a coeducational, college preparatory school for students in grades six through 12. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, history, computer science, mathematics, science and world languages, and visual and performing arts. It also offers college counseling, and health, wellness and physical education classes for students. Morristown-Beard School sponsors a diverse selection of student written and run publications, offering professional forums for creative writers, artists and journalists. It publishes a newspaper, The Crimson Sun, an art and literary magazine, The Mariah, and an academic journal, Standard Candle. The school offers extracurricular activities, through various clubs, such as art and film clubs, model congress, Umoja Imani and contemporary music workshop. The school s facility consists of a library, learning center, cafeteria and fitness center. It is a private school founded in 1971 and located in Morristown, N.J.
