My Special Spot Nurturing & Enrichment Center

We didn’t have a positive experience with this center. The kids did the same thing every day. We didn’t observe in the teachers the behaviors and attitudes you would expect from a high quality center. For example, the teachers seemed to always be in a bad mood and in our experience they didn’t communicate clearly and effectively with us and the kids. In fact, I observed that the majority of the kids didn’t understand and didn’t know what to do when the teachers talked to them. In summary, avoid this place. In our opinion, the quality of care is sub-par.

After months of looking for that perfect place to care for my first born, I found it. My angel had been home over 2 years with a Nanny and now that baby #2 was here and requiring more attention, I felt now was the time for sociailization and education. None of the Day Cares were measuring up to my home environment, I was nervous, scared and uneasy with the prior 6 I had visited. #7 was My Special Spot. After my meeting with Jeff and the Tour of My Special Spot, I sat in my car for a few minutes asorbing everything and a calm feeling rushed over me. At that moment I knew this was the place. Lucky #7! Jeff and all of the wonderful teachers reassured me from day one and still do til this day 3 yrs later with my 1st in his last year here and my 2nd recently just starting. This is a Bright, Loving, Eduational, Inspiring, Atmosphere were my Children have and still are Learning, Growing and Blooming. I have never once picked up my children where they were unhappy or sad about their day at THEIR SPECIAL SPOT! :0)

The best place for chidlren!!! Their ratios are lower than all the other schools in the area, they provide so much, and the staff is always friendly and professional. I've never had to worry!!! I don't know what the review below was talking about, but I can tell you that I've had all 3 of my children go through this school (the third is on her last year before public school) and I have always been able to count on them for constant communication. They even called me when there were just minor boo-boos or incidents, which did not happen very often at all! I always saw the staff be super attentive to the children and respectful. Before going there I got tons of recommendations from other experienced parents and all of the parents I have come to know all share similar positive experiences. Sure there were some teachers throughout the years that did not live up to the schools standards, but the directors recognized it right away and my guess is that that is the reason why those people no longer work there, THANKFULLY! Nonetheless, they have the best teachers and best teacher turn-over around! Their teachers've been there not just 2 or 3 years (which for most preschools is unheard of) but been there 5,7,10 and even 13 years!!!! Everybody is like family and your child is treated as one of their own children! Plus, both my older chidlren were more than well prepared for kindergarten!!!!! Basically, I say ignore these reviews and go see for yourself!

Dont sign your child into this facility. Teachers are always in a bad mood. Not always paying attention to the kids in the playground and let the kids hurt eachother. They do not notify the parents when the children get hurt because they are afraid of loosing business. I spoke to several parents who have taken their children out because of the same reason. My child had a red mark and bruises on a weekly basis and no-one ever notify me. I had to ask and their response was that it is normal for children to fight and get hurt. (This happened every week!)
