Sub Surface Tools was founded in 1970 and has been renting various types of drilling, completion and work-over tools and machinery to companies. Since its establishment, the company has grown from its beginnings as a specialty company supplying test plugs, wear bushings and retrieving tools, bop rams, spools and adapters to a full-service rental tool company with four convenient coastal locations and a complete tool inventory. The company has offices in New Iberia, Morgan City and Venice, La., and Alvin, Texas. Sub Surface Tools is a subsidiary of Superior Energy Services, one of the leading providers of specialized oilfield services and equipment.
