Sam's Southern Eatery

My granddaughter had heard this was. Good place to eat from some friends so we decided to try it. We weren't disappointed. She had the 3 fish, 3 shrimp, 3 oyster with 2 sides combo. They couldn't get the lid closed on the clam shell. The fish was cooked just right and the cornmeal better was perfect. The shrimp were more like prawns and the oysters were nice too. It is so nice to finally have a place to get oysters. The two other got the 6 piece fried chicken strip dinner and although delicious we couldn't eat it all. We had enough for dinner tonight. Now sides, red beans and rice-good; Mac and cheese-a little runny but OK; green beans-just green beans;fries-pull them out first or they get limp under the hot, hot food.

I will definitely go back. Want to try the Oyster PoBoys

AM: Had lunch at Ssm’s today. Will not go back! It was gross!

JG: Where is it??

RS: at the intersection where KFC used to be and I hear today that the fish was awful

ED: They do have huge helpings, I threw away a box full of food! It is dirty, and the cooks are those people from who knows where, the owners! I’ve been told the cooks can't understand English so they can't tell them to change anything on the order. It is like feeding cows in there. I won't be back!

LS: Too greasy for me.

JI: Thanks for the update. I'd rather have no food at all than a huge helping of $hit.

SB: We had a fish plate from there last night & we didn't like it either!!

TS: I’m with ya I didn't like it and I also felt like I needed a bath when I left!

WP: Craig and I went in there to eat and left before ordering. Went to Bubbies, which is always Great!!!
