The instructor is very experienced. The teaching and road practice is efficient. You will learn driving skills properly.

I took a brush up session of an hour and DMV test after that. The one hour session was quite good as I realized about my several mistakes and critical errors which I was making while driving. Due to this I was able to concentrate good on my test and I finally passed my test. It was my second trial so this brush up session was very helpful for me. Also in DMV he was quite helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend him for this type of brush up session or any other session. Also to mention his car was pretty clean, comfortable and good for taking a DMV test.

I took 1 hour brush up session and dmv test. And every penny was worth. The guy was insistent on not making even a single mistake during the brush up session and that was actually helpful in the test because I made only 4 minor mistakes and passed with flying colors. We were 3 friends that went together and all of us passed in first try. He gave us all sufficient lessons for an hour of brush up session, he showed all the important things that the dmv people checks during the test, he observed on what point I lacked and gave me more practice of that till I was good enough on it. I would totally recommend him for a driving lesson or brush up lesson or driving test.

Terrible. Like another reviewer, my child had a scheduled appointment and the instructor was an hour late. We decided to ask for a refund and move to another driving school...no luck. I'm still waiting for the refund after being told three time "the check is in the mail". DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Awful. I made an appointment for driving lessons & they canceled it without letting me know. I rescheduled another appointment, this time the instructor showed up but he was terrible. I let him know that this was my first time driving but it felt like he constantly was yelling at me for ever small mistake whenever he was actually paying attention to me. This made me tense, then he complained about me being so tense & holding on the wheel so tightly, which he constantly grabbed to fix a turn instead of guiding me though it . He was on his cell phone a lot & had me even pull over a few times just so he could talk on the phone. He also had me drive from Marina to Monterey just so he could pick up another instructor & then he took out paperwork & kept on talking to that guy until he had me pull over again. He told me to pull over because that instructor need the car. My instructor went & got another car. When he was pulling the new car out of the driveway, he hit the side of the wall wile backing up & his parallel parking was terrible, which made me loose faith in his driving skills.

Finding the right driving school was an extremely tiring task, I had dealt with some rude, unexperienced people trying to find a good school to enroll my daughter. Then I Came across American Driving Academy(362 pacific st.), right off when I had called the receptionist was very kind and knowledgeable, I was so confused before and had no idea we had to be enrolled in driver training before going to the dmv, they answered all my questions and we decided to go ahead and register. Next the instructors were great!! My daughter came home from her appointments so proud of herself, and confident, and I definetly saw the difference when we drove together. Not to mention the rates!! Im so happy I chose American Driving Academy, now my kid has her license,is driving safely and has stopped the nagging! THANKS ALOT !!! I highly recommend this school!!
