He then served his internship and completed a Pediatrics residency at SUNY Health Science Center, Kings County Hospital Center, with his final year serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Todisco also completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Montefiore Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Todisco served as a Pediatric Radiology fellow at Miami Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Pediatrics by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Pediatrics, respectively.

Dr. Cohen earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She then served her internship in Family Practice and completed her Radiology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/ Kings County Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Cohen served as a fellow in Skeletal Radiology at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute, an affiliate of Beth Israel Hospital.

Dr. Cherukuri earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School, and completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. She then returned to SUNY Downstate to complete her residency in Diagnostic Radiology. Additionally, Dr. Cherukuri completed a dedicated fellowship in Breast Imaging at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology.

MRI of the prostate is an emerging tool for the early imaging of prostate cancer. It also a useful tool in diagnosing enlarged prostate as well as infections such as prostatitis and prostate abscesses.

Dr. Markisz earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from New York University and received his medical degree from the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. He completed a Nuclear Medicine internship and began a Nuclear Medicine residency at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital. At The New York Hospital, Dr. Markisz completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology. He is board certified in Nuclear Medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and has also authored eight books on the subject of Radiology.
Mammography
Mammography is the most effective tool in both the screening and diagnosis of breast cancer, and is currently the only imaging technique that reduces the risk of breast cancer through early detection. According to the American Cancer Society, in 2009 over 250,000 new cases were expected to occur among women in the US alone. Because the earliest sign of breast cancer is most often an abnormality detected on a mammogram and age is considered the most critical risk factor, all women over 40 are advised to have a yearly screening mammogram.

Dr. Abadir earned his medical degree and completed his internship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center. Specializing in Interventional Radiology, Dr. Abadir received specialty fellowship training at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology, with a certificate of added qualification in Vascular & Interventional Radiology.

Orthopedic Surgery
In general, fluoroscopy has a broad application in radiologic procedures. It is often used in studies of the gastrointestinal tract, including those involving the use of barium, arthrograms, orthopedic surgery, urological exams and surgery, and angiography of the leg, heart and cerebral vessels. It can also aid in the placement of cardiac rhythm management devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
