Omni Health and Fitness

Unfortunately this is one of the better gyms in Mobile as far as equipment availability. I worked at a gym in college for about 3 years so there are things that I try to look for in a gym. They have a lot of equipment, but it isn’t kept up very well. Much of it sticks or breaks and it takes months for the staff to realize that (probably because they are all sitting at the front desk playing on their phones). There’s only one employee that I have ever seen that actually cleans. In fact, someone spilled some some sort of powder in the ladies locker room on the counter and it sat there for at LEAST a week. The toilets clog with waste and it goes days without being unclogged. I don’t even want to know the last time the sauna or shower was sanitized. Overall, if there’s a better gym out there I would consider going there. You’re likely to catch some sort of sickness at this place or have equipment break on you mid-set (and the employees won’t notice because they don’t pay attention to much).

I have to say after reading some of the reviews on yp and google....to each is own. Some reviews made me feel awkward and uncomfortable while others made me feel welcomed and enlightened. I talked to the manager Derek about the gym and he gave me very useful information as well as gave me a tour. He explained the cancellation policy and also extended a 30day free membership offer for my husband and me to take advantage of and critique on our own. This lets us be able to decide if this will be something we will be interested in or not. But for now I find everything to be good. Please make sure you listen to everything the manager or any official has to say before you comply and start bashing him or her. Thanks have a good day!

Omni is a great place to go with a variety of things to do. I wish they had a basketball or volleyball..they have awesome fitness classes..you can go there and get protein shakes even if you're not a member and they are so good! Also the people who work are cool too. ;)
