Evergreen Transportation utilizes more than 400 tractors and 750 trailers in its operation. The company offers dry and bulk freight services. Evergreen Transportation has grown to operate throughout the southeastern United States and Mexico. Should a load require the company to extend its existing carrier boundary, Evergreen will consider opening a new traffic lane if the economics allow for a long-term commitment to that lane or if the move benefits other companies that it currently serves. Walter Poole and his son, Pat, formed Evergreen Transportation in 1988. Headquartered in Evergreen, Ala., the company has terminals in Mobile, Courtland and Calera, Ala.; Contanment, Fla.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Laredo, Texas.
