Sienna Ranch Baptist Church

I do not typically sit down and write reviews, but thought that for things like where we go to church or send our children to school I should as these are the utmost important things and it is good to have a heads up or some feedback from others. Whenever I first moved to Missouri City about 8 months ago, I visited a total of six churches, five were Baptist and one was non-denominational. I must say that I had a wonderful experience at each one and they all seemed like they had a lot to offer to the body of believers, but this church is where my husband, our toddler and I have decided to call our home home. We have been going for about two months now and already feel very comfortable and loved by the people there. Everyone has welcome us and showed sincere kindness to me and my family. From the worship leader of music (mainly contemporary which I personally really enjoy), to the pastor and associate pastors, to the Sunday school teachers (both for adults and children) they are all just absolutely wonderful. It is very easy to see that the leaders and members of this church have a true heart for Jesus Christ and seek to speak the truth directly from the scripture. I will say that the church is kind of small (perhaps 100-150 people only) and they have not been in this current location very long - I believe just a couple of years, but this is something that kind of makes it special to us, to be able to come in as everything is falling into place for Sienna Ranch. I also thought if I didn't live in Sienna Plantation that perhaps we shouldn't go, but that also isn't the case at all, many members live in other places in Missouri City area like we do.

Nothing is candy coated here and the reasons we have to rejoice and celebrate in the Truth is a real focus. The lead Pastor Mark depicts the Bible in such a way and uses analogies that have already helped me see things which I have already believed to be true in a new light... I love his passion for what he does - it is very evident in his sermons. I feel that the Holy Spirit dwells in this place. All of the church leaders go out of their way to get to know the members and visitors, which means a lot to us.

It is kind of difficult to really review a church, I mean this is such a personal matter for each of us and sometimes a little intimidating to go some place new and meet new people. I just thought people should know that I believe this is a really great church and if you are looking for a new home, I would encourage you to come check it out for yourself and your family. I know that everyone would be happy to receive you. :)
