By far the worst theater I've ever been to it's time for Minot to get another theater maybe a regal or cinemark would be nice I'm tired of showing up for movies and all of a sudden they aren't playing without any notice it's a terrible way to run a business and I just feel it's time to get a different theater to compete and make this Carmike theater step up or get out.

This has to have been the worst movie theater I've ever attended. It seems as though something always goes wrong while I'm there. I've been a resident of Minot for about 4 years now. And Me and my girlfriend typically go to the movies once or twice a month. First the movie and snack prices are outrageous. I've never paid so much for a night at the movies until I got to this theater. On top of the expensive prices they're recurrently out of something. Whether it be nachos, nacho cheese, jalapeños, or even m&m's or some form of candy. It's always something! Then when you finally make it to your seats, sometimes there are projector issues. I've been inside my seats and during the climax of the movie the projector completely shut off and the lights turn on. It felt like a total rip off. Someone came and compensated us for the issue. Free tickets to our next movie were handed out. But again something always happens! The very next time me and my girlfriend came to the movies while leaving the snack line, the fire alarm goes off. Emptying the crowded movie theater and it was a packed house. It's so much more I can say in regards to the poor movie times, lack of diversity in movie options, and multiple high profile movies that never come to this theater. Overall I'm a unhappy customer. But I have no choice but to be a patron because it's the only movie theater in town.

The pricing on snacks and popcirn really isnt that horrible as people claim it to be honestly it could be worse. in a town for oil boom its fine. some people are just cheap @ss3s.

Concessions are incredibly expensive. Beware if you bring hungry kids. Otherwise a pretty good place to watch a movie, try to make it to the matinee.

Beware of new releases give em three to four days. Or else be expected to endure painfully long bottlenecked mass confusion as the minimally manned staff struggle to fixate on how to organize a simple tearing of a piece of paper. I went to a new release waited patiently "30 minutes patiently" after the set time and witnessed pre riot conditions only to walk into a half packed theater of course the half was clustered in the good section but what the hey! I saw a movie! BTW the in mall massage booth aided in both our sore necks from staring straight up!!!
