Mayville Engineering Company's products can be found throughout the world, with some of the largest sales to Egypt, Australia, Kuwait, China, Singapore, Germany, England and Brazil. The company specializes in early design involvement and product development. To produce customers' products, it offers conventional and numerically controlled punch press stamping, shearing, sawing, laser cutting, brake press forming, drilling, tapping, grinding, CNC machining, welding, dip pre-treatment, electro-deposition 'e-coating,' wet spray painting, silk screening, assembly and powder coating. Cousins Leo and Ted Bachhuber, founded Mayville Engineering Company in 1945. In 1955, MEC entered into the shotshell reloader market. MEC also continued to develop its contract offerings. The Contract division currently serves world leaders in a variety of industries including communications, computers, agriculture, construction and marine. Toolmaking is also an important segment of its business. The current Mayville facility encompasses 350,000 square-feet of operating space and employs nearly 800 people. The Beaver Dam plant, completed in early 1999, is 163,000 square-feet and houses the Aerial Work Platform Division with more than 200 associated employees. Mayville Engineering Company is headquartered in Mayville, Wis.
