Tam Bikes

I first started patronizing Tam Bikes when they were located closer to Tam Junction & they were great -- friendly, helpful, conscientious. Then they moved to their present location & things began to change. Second to the last time I brought my bike in for service they neglected a few items which I had to adjust on my own. I thought anyone could have a bad day & miss something so I continued to go there. This was a big mistake: a month ago I brought my bike in after having to make an appointment -- otherwise I'd be without a bike for about a week. Since they don't offer rentals to replace a bike left for servicing, this was one issue. Worse, when I arrived a day late to pick up my 'repaired' bike it wasn't ready, although it was mounted on the repair rack. I received no apology but was told to come back in 20 minutes & it would be ready. I decided to return an hour later & paid the bill. It looked like it had been repaired but all they did was wipe down the frame & clean the chain -- the brakes & derailler were not properly adjusted, and the left derailler mechanism wasn't fixed although I pointed the problem out to the repair guy.



Even worse was their attitude -- that loyal customers like me don't matter -- and providing service is an inconvenience for them. All I get is attitude from these guys & nonexistent service. I guess if you want something done right you have to do it yourself but honestly, save your money & do that, or do yourself a favor & go somewhere else where maybe they appreciate your business.
