        Pond Point Animal Hospital was founded in January of 1973 by Dennis Doughty DVM and Richard Suhie DVM. In 1985 Dr. Doughty retired from active practice and moved to Africa to pursue other interests. K. Paul Rumble DVM was brought on staff in January of 1985 and became a full partner in March of 1986. In 1987 Pond Point Animal Hospital helped found Shoreline Animal Emergency Clinic in Stratford, CT. Shoreline is now located in Shelton and besides providing emergency care 24/7, it is also a major VCA referral center now. In July 2005, Dr. Richard Suhie retired and Dr. K Paul Rumble took over as the sole practice owner. In 2011 Dr. Julia L Carter purchased Pond Point Animal Hospital from Dr. Rumble (although he is still here part time) and has added exotic animal medicine (pocket pets, birds and reptiles) and accupuncture to Pond Point's medical care options. We are a small facility with big facility technical options, Dr. Carter added Laser Surgery, Digital X-ray and Therapeutic Cold Laser to Dr. Rumble's already comprehensive lab and surgical suite. For 37 years Pond Point Animal Hospital has provided veterinary care for pets of all shapes and sizes. Our animal hospital serves, Orange, Stratford, Milford and West Haven CT veterinary clients for all pet health needs. Give us the opportunity to serve yours!!

        Overall

        When I moved here I was worried about finding a vet because I really liked my old vet in South Carolina. My neighbors recommended Dr. Carter, and she was great. She got down on the floor with Poochie, and rubbed her tummy and gave her goodies so she didn't notice the shot. It was more expensive than back home but I expected that. The hospital is really clean and they offer lots of stuff my old vet didn't have so if my old girl needs surgery they have laser and stuff. Really nice folks.
