Focused Care at Midland Main

This was the worst facility. My father was in for about a week and wasn't doing much of anything. going into the weekend my father started having a seizure with foaming at the mouth and having severe jerking. I got the call that my father was shaking as the facility called it not knowing it was a seizure. Once I rushed over to tend to my father all the CNA and MA were standing doing absolutely nothing while my father was getting no oxygen to his brain they refused to but on his Oxygen mask and refused to check his vitals and blood sugars. So I jumped in and put his mask on and had asked has anyone called the paramedics. I later found that the facility had waited 45 minutes to call ambulance. Then come to find out the ambulance couldn't take my father so Rockwood Manor called fire dept. Until this day I still haven't figured out why the fire dept. Finally my father ended up and Midland memorial Hospital and Rockwood manor forgot to tell the ER that my father was a DNR/DNI so MMH procced to intubate my father and then lasted a couple weeks after several seizures and a stroke that ultimately killed him. So please if any of your family members need to go into a nursing home please keep in close contact with them not them nursing home. Please avoid the heartbreak that my family and I went through.
