VyStar Credit Union

Very good bank. Nice people. My husband, his Mom and I have a account here...We have not had any issues. I would recommend this bank to everyone. Thank you Vystar. Keep up the good work.

This was the worst banking experience I ever had in my life at the VyStar Branch located in Middleburg. My wife and I attempted to open an account after relocating to Jacksonville just to have a local bank. I gave the clerk my information and immediately without my authorization she pulled some type of credit inquiry. Well that inquiry pulled up a cancellation fee from another credit union that needed to be paid before an account could be open. The fee was less than $30 which we did not know about and I did not think we owed it.



Paying the $30 was not an issue until she told me we could not pay there. So we called the the credit union this fee was supposed to be owed to and even they could not determine the correct amount. Vystar refused to resolve this issue and after speaking with a supervisor we decided not to open the account because of this issue.



Even after I told the clerk to stop inputting my information she continued to type until I insisted that she stop and get her supervisor. We would have been happy to pay the $30 to Vystar but they could not accept the payment. This was totally unsat!



If you are active military or retired I would not recommend this credit union ever. I am a retired military officer who has been a member of USAA for over 20 years and I never had any problems opening an account.



I went right up the street and opened both a personal and business account through Urban Trust Bank with no problems and was done in about 1 hour. If you are use to outstanding customer service when doing business with a bank go to Urban Trust Bank or USAA. I would avoid VyStar at all costs!
