South Motors Mazda

I am not a person to write good reviews, if I write a review normally is negative. But in this case I have to admit that I was motivated to write a positive review for South Motors Mazda. Since I had read so many bad reviews my wife and I went to the showroom just to check the car we wanted and to test drive, as we have done in other dealers. To our pleasant surprise Michelt Dominguez was the car sales available showed us the car with no push sales attitude, he listened to our expectations and with a down to earth approach we sat down to look at the options. Another difference with pior experience, there was no back and forth with a manager sitting in a dark room far away from the sales office. Immediately that we showed interest the manger Franly Machado introduced himself and explained the process, that there was not going to be a back and forth but he needed to review the numbers that we were requesting and he was going to do his best in the first try. NO WAYTING 10 HOURS. A few min later Michelt came with the offer, we liked and we closed. It was by far the best new or used car buying experience in my 20 years of experience. I recommend South Motor Honda specially the Michelt Dominguez and Franly Machado…. And at the end the Finance person was very efficient to finish all the paperwork explained everything and got us ready to receive the our new Mazda CX-9.

South Motors Mazda is very unprofessional!!

As a first time car buyer South Motors Mazda left me with a horrible taste in my mouth. This past Memorial Day I went to the dealership with my father to look for a car. Our sales associate was Michelt Dominguez. After test driving two cars, I made my decision and picked out a 2013 Nissan Sentra that had only 16,000 miles and was being sold for $16k. Next was the financing, before we even agreed on a price Michelt wanted to check my credit and tried to convince me to sign a paper that would allow him to see my credit (he said the signature would be my word that I would buy the car if he went and spoke to his manager about dropping the price). After I told him no we began negotiating and after 30 mins we were able to agree on a price $14,500. Feeling comfortable with the price I allowed South Motors Mazda to check my credit score. That is when I had to deal with Mazda's finance manager Israel Alonso. After he ran my credit he found out my score was good. After that he excused his self and said that he was going to use their system to see if their lender would be willing to finance me. After 45 minutes Israel Alonso came back and told my father and I that the system was down and that he would call them the next morning and then call me so we could continue our business transaction. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that what he said was possible because it was a holiday and that they are an established business I said okay. The next day came and the morning passed and there was no call. I had to call South Motors Mazda in the morning just to find out that Israel and Michelt do not come in the morning they come in around 1. The person who I spoke with said that he would tell Israel so he could call me. I waited until 4'o clock and still no call. So I decided to call again this time I was told he was not there and that they would take a message for me. Being frustrated I decided to give it a day to see what would happen. Still no one called. It got so bad my mother had to get involved. When she called she spoke with a lady named Jayleen Reynaldo she too also told my mom that neither Israel Alonso or Michelt Dominguez was available.



At the end it is Friday, May 29th, 2015 and I have still yet to hear from israel Alonso or Michelt Dominguez. After this experience I will never do business with South Motors Mazda again and I will tell everyone I know and work with how dishonest they are.

Terrible experience. They constantly try to add "fees" and they go back on their word. The manager even threatened me, saying he would make sure I never bought the car I was looking at because I decided to walk out. Complete lack of professionalism.

I can't speak on behalf of this dealer as a whole, but there's one person you need to stay away from if you ever do business at South Motors Mazda: Shawn M Heath. I almost closed a deal with him, but I was always a little iffy about his character. Well, it turns out that he's just another overly aggressive car salesman that lacks class and professionalism.



When we first started negotiating and I asked him if he wanted to counteroffer, he said he doesn't play those games. What a way to earn business! When I ultimately finalized a deal with a different car dealership, I emailed Shawn to thank him for his time and assistance. I thought it was the courteous thing to do. Well, I guess Shawn can't handle defeat in a gracious manner. When he found out I bought a car elsewhere, his true colors came out. He sarcastically says: "Sorry you decided to pay too much and pay more at another dealership." Really, Shawn? I'm trying to end things on a positive note and this is what you write to me? The best part is that he then says: "My time was wasted!". Wow…excuuuuse me for wasting your time. Who the hell wants to do business with someone like that? I can honestly say that I'd much rather pay more elsewhere than ever work with Shawn.



Please remember that when you buy a car, you're also buying into a partnership. Think twice about Shawn M Heath. He's just not worth it.

Do Not Trust This Dealer!!!!!!! Stay Away!! Go Elsewhere!!!



Worst Car Sales experience ever!!!

I recently went to SM to purchase a Mazda2. My experience with them was less than perfect. In all honestly some of the sales people were nicer than others. With car salesman however you can never really tell if they are being sincere or not. I didn't like the sales tactics used by this dealer. When I explained I wanted to stay within a specific payment range I was encouraged to go over that range. The reason being I was "young and going places. I would not always make the same amount of money that I am making now". I did not appreciate being encouraged to live beyond my means by this dealer.



As part of closing the deal I requested the dealer throw in the integrated Bluetooth that would be an option on the Car. The Sales Manager agreed to my terms and said he would throw in the Bluetooth I wanted. It wasn't till after I signed the paperwork I was shown the Bluetooth I was going to be given. A cheap looking Motorola Bluetooth that you can get on Amazon for $30. Why on earth would I close the deal on a car based on getting a free $30 item. I have since tried contacting the dealer in the hopes they can at the very least give me a small discount off the install for the integrated blue tooth. They have ignored my emails.



The Finance Portion of the sale was not pleasant either. I was allowed to leave without even being told what bank I had been approved with. Lesson learned NEVER do this. I am not saying SM intentions were bad however you should not be allowed to leave without something this important being finalized.

In closing please go elsewhere when shopping for a car! Deceitful Dealer with Horrible Sales Practices!

I recently purchased my wife a 2012 Mazda Cx5 from South Mazda and I must say it was an all around great buying experience for us, very friendly & knowledable staff and our salesman Bernie was a pleasure to work with & were super happy with our Cx5 A+++ for South Motors Mazda...

Our experience was terrible. They never rotated our tires!! We talked to the service manager and then to the manger of this dealership. All bad; they would never answer our questions! Below are the questions. We spent one month trying to get answers . We have had Mazda's for 25 years. We now have a 2010 Mazda 3. We are rethinking if we will continue buying Mazda. Below are the questions they would not answer!! Monica is from the corporate office. She never helped or answered either. I would never use this dealer; watch out for this dealer!!!!!!!!!!!

I was checking other reviews and noted that Daniel G. also was amazed that is his full circle went very bad concerning his tires??????????? What is up with this dealer?

Mr. Prieto; please answer the questions below. I want to give you every opportunity before going to Monica at the executive office. I hope we can work things out.



So that being the case according to your department means that in the next 5000 miles even though everything was wearing evenly; the front tires all of a sudden started wearing more; so much more, that they are finished and thread showing? For some unknown reason? No pulling at all so alignment was good. What could have happened? Your head man Mr. Morales said that the tires on our car are only good for 15,000 miles; is that correct? I am not a specialist so forgive the questions. Mr. Morales said they are high performance factory tires and do not last very long? I will check on the net if that is true but can you give me some insight?



Why are you not responding to questions I had asked? I will ask again. If the tires were rotated and the service dept. did their job then why were we not alerted to uneven wear on the tires? That is my biggest question? Is that not part of full circle? If indeed we were alerted something could have been done I am sure so that the front tires would not be thread bear and the back still be good? I am sure Mr. Morales is good at his job but I know he lacks customer diplomacy. We have all of our bills from you as stated below in our email.
