I recently used National Car Rental at Miami Airport. The processing time was quick and the employees were very helpful and courteous. The rental car was freshly washed and very clean.

I am a frequent renter and an emerald club member. That almost changed recently. I rented a crossover vehicle from the Miami airport location and it stalled on me several times. 5 out of the 7 times I attempted to start it the car would not start. I was told the vehicle had some electrical issue.

I was extremely frustrated that I had to drive all the way back to return the vehicle.

Once returned tho, I will say that I was treated with the utmost care. A gentleman by the name of Jonathan took special interest in making sure I remained a loyal customer.

Customer service has declined significantly in recent years so it was a welcomed change to have him take such in interest in my overall happiness. He took his time with me to make sure I was in a safe, decent car.

He also adjusted the price not significantly but enough to help my situation.

With the compition so high out there, more company's need more Johnatans.

Very disappointed! I have been loyal to National Cat Rental I am an Executive Club member. Had to fly in to Miami last week on an emergency as my mother was gravely ill. I selected an arbitrary return date. The day before I was to return the cat I called to extend the rental as my mother had just passed away and I would be staying for her funeral. The call center said it would be over $350 additional for two more days. They said my only recourse was to call the Miami airport directly or I had to drive the cat back to the airport to do a new contract. 15 different attempts the Miami airport never answered the phone! I had to take time away from dealing with sensitive family issues to take the Miami airport rental cat facility to drive out with a new contract for $60 for the 2 add days. Should not have been as difficult - they should have been able to do this over the phone for anyone and especially for a loyal Executive Club member! Zero stars - poor customer service!

Car was fine customer service was lousy... they tried to charge me for a car seat I never got and didn't help with the inspection.



They didn't take a minute to explain anything to me just said take that car. When I asked about an inspection the guy told me you do that when you check out of the garage. So I drove to the exit. I asked the guy what about the inspection. He said if there's anything wrong you can tell me and I'll make a note of it. He went away for a few minutes then handed me my paper work and said have a nice day. I asked what about the inspection? He said you can tell me what's wrong... odd since I already asked him.. I took him around the car. He seemed unconcerned with large marks. He wasn't writing stuff down as I was explaining and seemed quite arrogant.



When I returned the car I noticed on my rental agreement that a car seat was listed. I had requested one but never got it. Now they wanted to charge me for it.

Picked up a rental car from National at the Miami Airport and dropped it off at the Orlando Airport after a five day sales office tour through south and central Florida. Pick up was easy after the longgggg walk/ride from the terminal at the Airport to car rental – that is my only complaint, but not anything National can to about that. The car was clean and ran great. Just waiting to see if the Florida Tolls will be put on my final bill before filing my travel expense.

They Suck!

I travel a lot with my company and we have a multimillion dollar corporate account with National. I'm also a Executive Elite Member. I have had several bad run ins with management and here most recently someone in lost and found. I left my condo keys in the car as I went home for the Holidays. I called the Miami location and was connect to the lost and found. I explained to the guy what happened in about 45 seconds, as soon as I finished he put me on hold. I remained on hold for the next 22 minutes and then was hung up on. After calling back twice no one would answer. I called corporate office and reported them. They were supposed to contact me yesterday to let me know if they found my keys, as of today I have still not heard from them. I hold a influential spot in my company and I will ask that we pull our contract. National really needs to send someone here to clean this location up.

09-15-2014 - 09-16-2014 / 09-16-2014 - 09-17-2014 Being an Executive member with National I would say this was one of my worst experience, my job consist on constant deployments and I will not recommend National in Miami Airport. 1 - Poor customer service on behalf of the sales representative Evana and another National employee at booth before exiting airport. Doing this type of job you should be courteous, patient and represent your company at best. I was using my Free Day Coupon and when I got to the booth I was getting charged another amount higher than the one stipulated on my reservation. I was explaining and showing them the reservation on my phone. It took then a while to recognize that they were charging me for picking up my rental one hour earlier making it seem it was my fault, very rude tell me "Well next time you have to let us know ahead of time before we do the contract that you are going to turn it in at the same time of pick up", I believe Sales Rep should be aware of all these situations and asked before anything if returning time will be the same as pick up or if it was going to be as stated on reservation, also in a respectful way advise the client that for next time to make them aware about the returning time change. 2 – The second reservation also made in Miami airport the same situation was repeated not with the Sales Rep at the booth but the manager. This time as soon as I drove up to booth I advised the National Sales rep about me returning the vehicle the same time I was picking it up. Sales Rep kindly said “Mam I don’t understand what is the problem let me get a manager” Manager Maria Lintner came with this only attitude very defensive and without even listening started saying that it was not their fault that reservation was showing in system under the amount stated in my reservation that is was another reservation. Huh, seriously!!!. That I had to pay that amount since that was what the system was showing and use my Free Day coupon on another occasion”. Finally she noticed as well as previous case that I was being charged for picking up earlier. I told her “The first thing I did when I drove up was that returning time will be the same as pick up”. Then to try to fix it she says, “Oh don’t worry you don’t have to turn it in early I will write down for return time to be the same as you had on your reservation”. I told her “No need to do that since I need to turn in the car that night”. She still went ahead and made the reservation at whatever time she said. I treat other like I would like to be treated, these type of jobs are not for all people they require lots of patience, EXCELLENT customer service, being polite no matter what situation you are going through life. If you don’t like the type of job you do is better to resign and not letting company look bad
