Grove Isle Marina

This restaurant should be ashamed of itself. My girlfriend made a 6:30 reservation for us prior to going to a show we had tickets to at the Arsht Center. She made the reservations for us two weeks out, as it was Miami Spice week and sure to book quickly. When the reservation was made, she discussed what was on the Miami Spice Menu, prices, etc. We were greatly looking forward to a fabulous night out.



Five hours before our reservation, the restaurant called us and left a message. They said they had made a mistake on their website, had given us some bad information and that the Miami Spice Menu was no longer available for Saturday night reservations. They said were very sorry for the confusion. We said that due to this being a mistake on their end, in light of the fact that we already confirmed the fact when we made the reservation that the menu would be in effect and seeing as we would have difficulty making a last minute reservation for another restaurant - could they make an exception? They were extremely unconcerned on the phone, even after we discussed this situation with the the restaurant manager. Not only did they say no, but also showed a lack of concern in regard to rectifying the error made on their part. The least they could have done is offer us a free desert or bottle of wine for the inconvenience / misunderstanding. But nothing was offered for their mistake.



Not only will we never eat at this restaurant, but we also urge all others to boycott this non-customer oriented establishment. I am appalled that this place is still in business with this level of customer service.

THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL AS WELL AS THE SERVICE. THE VIEW OF THE BAY AS THE SUN WAS SETTING WAS BREATH TAKING. MY FAMILY AND I FURTHER ENJOYED THE LIVE MUSIC SELECTION THAT WAS PLAYING. OVERALL, BALEEN RESTAURANT IS A GREAT CHOICE FOR ANY OCCASION.
