        Innovations Hair Studio, Inc. started out as an idea in 1989 that developed into a small, salon-only business when we opened our doors August 15, 1990 at Post Road Plaza in Merrimack, New Hampshire. In 1996, the Post Road Plaza was sold and we had to find a new home. After a great deal of research and thought, we decided to make a long-term investment and purchase land to build our own facility. We would never have to worry about rent or leases ever again.

        The customer service at innovations is fantastic. Whether it us a haircut or spa service they provide quality work in a lovely environment.

        I have never written a review ...

        I have never written a review of a business before. However I was so blown away by the sheer rudeness of the front desk person that I feel compelled to write a review. I made an appointment to have my hair cut, only a haircut, nothing else. I have a 3 year old little girl and a 5 year old boy. I have always brought them with me to my hair appointments (not here this was my first time to innovations). In the past my children have always just sat in the waiting area and I put a movie on for them on my iPad. I make sure that the stylists chair is in view so I can keep an eye on them. They truly do great, are very well behaved, and have never been a disturbance or a problem.



        When the front desk lady saw that I had my children with me she was very rude and had a terrible attitude towards me. She said it was against their policy to allow children under 12 to wait. When I told her I did it all the time and that they were great she kept saying "I find that hard to believe" like I was lying about them being well behaved, or maybe she couldn't believe that other salons would be more accommodating and allow me to have my children with me. She said "I find that hard to believe" at least 3 times.



        So it's their policy, fine. If she had not been rude to me and looked at my children like were 2 piles of dog poop I would not be writing this right now. Innovations I suggest you train your staff on customer service and how to talk to and treat people. If she had handled the situation differently, and spoken to me in a different manner, I probably would have walked out of there with a re-scheduled appointment for when my husband could have watched our children. However, due to the way I was spoken to and treated I will never step foot in there again.
