Birch Elementary School operates under the Merrick Union Free School District that also Roland A. Chatterton School and Norman J. Levy lakeside school. The school has a library that offers a collection of geographical reference sources, general reference materials, biographical sources, books and catalogs. The school s core curriculum areas include math, science, social studies, music, physical education, health, art, English, reading, writing and technology. Birch Elementary School, located in Merrick, N.Y., provides various sports activities that include soccer, handball, volleyball, jump rope, basketball, softball, baseball, and track and field.
