I made a 0900 appointment for my day off to get a bedliner sprayed in. Hector sounded great and I was excited to work with them. I arrived 10 minutes early and parked in front of the bay door. At 0913 I called Hector to confirm our appointment because nobody was there. He said he was getting another truck and would be there in 5 minutes. Somebody showed up after 0935 and opened the front door. I sat and waited for them to open the bay door or say hello. At 0941, Hector called me and asked if I was still there and did I want to get the bed sprayed. I said yes, I'm sitting in the white F250 in front of your shop. I went in and he asked how's it going. I responded that I was not feeling the love as a customer. He asked what did I mean. I said I thought we had a 0900 appointment. He said we did and that he had to go get other trucks and sorry I felt that way. I said it was closer to 1000 now and asked how long it would take. He said 3-4 hours. I told him I had an appointment at 1500 in Caldwell for a windshield. He said he would get it done by then. I said I was not comfortable trusting them to be on time and would go elsewhere. When a shop overbooks and cannot deliver, they should own it. Ensure they will get on it right away and not just sit on the other side of the desk and shrug. Hector, at least stand up and talk to me. Looking a person in the eye and shaking their hand still matters.

I drove to Rhino Lining in Caldwell off Georgia Ave. and walked in unannounced. The owner, Eric, finished with his current customer, walked over, shook my hand, and introduced himself. He came out and looked at my truck to give me a quote. Then gave me a Veteran discount. I have an appointment on Wednesday.
