Walt's Golden Dawn

The employees have always been exceptionally helpful and friendly. For a small store it has a decent selection and carries products that I haven't been able to find anywhere else between Mercer and Sharon (that includes Walmart). I have never had a bad experience there. The prices are a bit higher than say Walmart but again it is a small grocery store. The last Golden Dawn in the area and I have been here for 32 yrs.

Only show in town...no choice..prices are high. Good deli and bakery but prices are too high. Staff is friendly.

He is way to expensive, and he gets away with it because there is no other store in Mercer to give him any competition.His produce is not that good, I have gotten half rotten lettuce, as well as potatoes, the hot peppers are brown and not good.He does have a good bakery, and the meat is good, if you can afford to buy it.The only way you can shop there is to play the sales, stick to your grocery list, don't buy anything tbat is not on sale.
