Located in Mequon, Wis., Public Works Department consists of various departments that include more than 30 full-time and over 30 seasonal part-time employees. Its street department maintains more than 200 miles of local streets, including traffic signals, signage, storm drainage, road pavements, pavement markings, and snow and ice control. Its park department is responsible for the maintenance of all city parks, including ball diamonds, football fields, soccer fields and picnic areas. Its building department provides electrical, mechanical and physical plant maintenance services. The city s fleet maintenance department is responsible for the procurement, maintenance and fuel needs of motorized fleet as well as support equipment, such as pumps, compressors, generators and tools.
