Pediatric Care
YONATAN ROSENBLUM, PsyD, Co-Director of Compliance, received his doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He completed his doctoral internship and postdoctoral training at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Oakland, Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic. He has experience working in a variety of clinical settings, including therapeutic day schools, pediatric hospitals, and outpatient community mental health centers.
Primary Care
Clinical Director of Training, Co-Director of Compliance, is a graduate of the Adler School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Lipson has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families presenting with a wide range of difficulties and concerns. With experience providing services in English and Spanish, she has worked in various settings, such as community mental health centers, hospitals, primary care settings, and outpatient clinics. Dr. Lipson is also an adjunct professor at the Adler School of Professional Psychology.
Sleep Disorders
Polysomnogram tests measure eye movement, muscle activity, heart rhythm, respiratory airflow, and brain activity in order to diagnose or rule out specific sleep disorders. These tests can help to rule out parasomnias, narcolepsy, muscle-related sleep disorders (RLS), sleep apnea, and disorders encompassing REM abnormalities.

Pervasive development disorder (PDD) refers to a group of conditions that affect a person’s ability to effectively communicate and interact with others. Usually, some forms of these conditions are already apparent before the age of three years. While the specific cause of PDD is unknown, it is believed to be the result of problems within the nervous system. There are several different disorders classified as PDD, each with their own set of indicating factors. Some of these disorders include: autism, Asperger’s syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, and Rett’s syndrome.
Epilepsy
A good candidate for neurofeedback is able to commit to consistent training at one or two times weekly, and is motivated to work toward emotional and behavioral change. Gersten Center does not provide Neurofeedback services to individuals with chronic substance use, epilepsy, or traumatic brain injuries. Gersten Center for Behavioral Health (GCBH) is proud to offer a doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology to begin Fall of 2023. The program is a 2000-hour, 40-hour per week, full-time training experience to be completed over one year. Training at GCBH provides a unique opportunity in a private practice setting to not only be trained as a generalist, but also specialize in various treatment approaches and modalities. The Doctoral Internship Program is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). Our Member Number is 2558. The Internship Program is actively working toward obtaining APA Accreditation.

The severity and frequency of these symptoms are classified into different types of bipolar disorder. Occupational Therapy
Once diagnosed, a customized treatment plan will be developed for each individual patient with PDD. Treatment may include special education, behavior modification techniques, speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, and medication management in order to reduce levels of anxiety and hyperactivity. These treatments are coordinated between home and school and often involve several therapists and teachers in order to effect measured improvement everyday functioning and learning.
