Owens Center for Biofeedback and Psychological Services Located in the Baytree/Suntree area of Melbourne, Florida, the Owens Center for Biofeedback and Psychological Services offers a full range of both traditional and innovative treatment and evaluation sevices for children and adults. Newly opened in December 2004, the Owens Center is owned and directed by Henry Owens, Ph.D., licensed psychologist. About Dr. Owens Dr. Owens is a licensed psychologist who has been in full-time private practice successfully treating children through adults since 1993. Previously, he had extensive clinical experience in hospital, clinic, school, and employee-assistance settings. He received his doctorate in Psychology from St. John's University in New York. He gives numerous presentations on parenting, ADHD, biofeedback, substance abuse and many other topics to professional, parent, and community groups. Dr. Owens' clinical treatments include psychological counseling and testing, including testing for GSP ( Gifted Student Program ), biofeedback ( including Neurofeedback or EEG Biofeedback ) clinical sex therapy, EMDR, hypnosis, and parent training. His practice specialties include expertise in working with individuals with ADHD, anxiety and stress-related disorders, mood disorders, alcohol and substance use problems, habit control problems, and child behavior and learning disorders. Dr. Owens is a Professional Advisor to CH.A.D.D. ( Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders ). His professional memberships include the American Psychological Association, Florida Psychological Association, Society for Neuronal Regulation, and American Academy of Clinical Sexologists. He had earned his Certificate of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and Other Psychoactive Use Disorders from the College of Professional Psychology of the APA, and was a Professional Associate for Rational Recovery.
