Dewey's Transmissions And Auto Repair Inc

Ripped me off $250, elsewhere I was quoted $130 for the same work. Owner said "You're paying for my knowledge."

We bought an old Jeep a few weeks ago and had the transmission rebuilt in Orlando. The people that rebuilt it (e.g. not Dewey's) did a sorry job and it leaked profusely when I got it home.



The folks at Dewey's did a great job fixing the leak. They communicated with me frequently and kept me up to date on the status of the repair. Their prices were very reasonable and they were easy to work with. It's hard to find people to do good work, especially on old cars, but they definitely were a pleasure to work with and they did a great job on my Jeep.



For me, it's the small things that matter, especially things that I don't mention. When I took the car to Dewey's, I noted several minor issues with the car that should have been done by the guy that "rebuilt" our transmission, mainly that the transfer case was filthy and there were some bolts missing from the skid plate. I did not mention either of these issues to the folks at Dewey's, just figuring I'd see what happened. They addressed both, by cleaning the transfer case and replacing the bolts that were missing. While these are minor things, they show an attention to quality, detail, and that they return things the way they should be, even if it's beyond what was requested. Most of the other mechanics I've dealt with would have just left it as is. By taking those two actions, they show they want it done right, not just done.

Had a problem with the transmission in a 2007 Ford Focus. They found a transmission and all the other parts that were needed. They kept me in the loop on the repairs. Absolutely the most honest auto repair shop I've ever dealt with. Great service from Miles and the entire shop.

Received great service from Miles and Mike. They answered all my questions without giving any attitude and were not rude whatsoever. I was also kept in the loop the entire time while tranny was being placed which I also appreciated.

I hurd this was a great place for repair, lots of people have recommended it
