Welcome to Global Awakening's "Church of the Great Commission". We are "house-church" based congregations that are looking to bring Kingdom presence into businesses, homes, neighborhoods and communities. The Church of the Great Commission Capital Area consists of the Harrisburg / Mechanicsburg metro area. Spend a few minutes looking at our website, and get to know us. Our name has been taken from a term used to describe Jesus' direction to the church found in Matthew 28:19 & 20, "Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you..." This passage has been historically called, "The Great Commission." At its core, the Church of the Great Commission exists to provide an experiential rather than a spectator form of spirituality. Our goals are to train and equip every believer in how to pray for physical healing, freedom, emotional healing, and salvation with the expectation that everyone will share these things in all aspects of daily life.
