I would like to give ZERO stars but it won't let me. I had to leave one star in order to write a review. After reading many derogatory reviews, we thought we would give a try anyway. There were 5 adults in our party on a Saturday night which the special is prime rib. So you think that would be good, right?! Nooooo! Pretty sure the prime rib came fr the leather from the elephant hanging on the wall!! The NY strip steak was tougher than any piece of meat we had ever seen. Couldn't cut it let alone EAT it!! The spaghetti sauce and meatballs had to have been sitting out for more than one day because it had a rotten spoiled taste. It was not eaten either. The waitress service was less than mediocre. The place on a Saturday night at 7pm was not even close to being busy .... that should have been our first clue. And by all means, do NOT order a mixed drink because they don't know how to make it! PEOPLE, SAVE YOUR MONEY and AVOID the SAFARI BAR at all costs. McDonald's even has this place beat!!

We have been to the Safari Bar several times and we can confidently say that the only thing it has going for it is the stuffed safari-killed animals throughout the restaurant. On the majority of the occasions we've been there we've been seated in the back (closest to the golf course) and every time we've asked to be moved because of large groups of people with screaming, unruly kids running around.
I've often ordered from the menu to be told they didn't actually have it and to choose something else. The food is mediocre, at best, and the service is not very good. It's on the pricier side for Meadville and certainly not worth it.
