        Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in McHenry, IL, is a friendly community of worshipers seeking to present the gospel and illuminate God's saving grace. Through the Word of the Bible and the Sacrament, we learn more about the God of love. We welcome you to enjoy all of the fellowship opportunities we have to offer as you take your spiritual journey. From choir and bells to community outreach, we have a special place for everyone to grow in faith. In addition to our Sunday services at 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m., and 10:45 a.m., we also offer: • Bible study and Saturday services • Youth ministries • Preschool, before-school, and after-school programs • Women's ministries • Music ministries • Homeless and food pantry missions We also host a weekly recovery group meeting, Weight Watchers gatherings, and a sewing circle.         I've been a member of Shepherd...

        I've been a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church for years, and it's a wonderful church. Very caring, lots of family-friendly events, and lovely sermons. A great place to take your kids for a Christian upbringing. One of McHenry's best churches, in my opinion. I don't know what Dennis was talking about in his review, but he's obviously never been there.

        Excellent Preschool programs!!

        The teachers are great and caring. They really know what it takes to get the kids ready for kindergarten.
