Comprehensive Examination
From the first visit and throughout their entire life, McCordsville Veterinary Hospital will be there to provide the absolute best care for your pet. Our wellness care measures can maximize the fullness of that life both in terms of what your pet can do and for how long. Annual physical exams are important! Many of our younger patients have annual exams, but for aging pets or those who have medical conditions, we recommend exams every six months.

McCordsville Veterinary Hospital is fully equipped to do most soft tissue surgeries as well as spay/neuter. We understand your concerns about the risks of anesthesia and utilize the most updated monitoring equipment to help alleviate these concerns. A tailored anesthetic protocol is prepared for every patient. This personalized approach includes careful selection of which sedative drugs are used prior to inducing anesthesia, pain management medications, antibiotic selection, and fluid therapy during the surgery to help maintain adequate blood pressure.

Chronic Condition Treatment

Periodontal Disease Treatment
Every examination at McCordsville Veterinary Hospital includes an oral examination to assess the teeth and gums for dental disease. We are equipped to perform anesthetic dental cleanings, as well as digital dental x-rays to assess for periodontal disease, undetected abscesses, broken teeth, resorbed roots, retained roots, and more. We chart all teeth evaluating for any periodontal pockets, increased mobility, and gum recession.

Veterinary Surgery
McCordsville Veterinary Hospital provides veterinary care including wellness visits and consultations, medical care for ill pets, surgical care, and dental procedures. We utilize a combination of in-house laboratory services, digital radiology, and ultrasound (pre-scheduled) along with reference laboratory services. We do not have an overnight attendant for after-hours care. Patients requiring hospitalization, advanced care, or emergencies are generally referred to a 24-hour emergency facility. There they will receive around-the-clock care from veterinary specialists and their teams. Our goal is to provide you and your pet with quality care, in a professional & personalized manner at a reasonable price so that you and your pet can have years of enjoyment together.

•Recommended diagnostics tests (i.e., blood work and x-rays) and treatments will be discussed with you, and an estimate provided for your approval upon request.
X-Ray
Dental Radiology
We are equipped to perform anesthetic dental cleanings and digital dental x-rays to assess for hidden tooth root disease.
Microchipping
In addition, McCordsville Veterinary Hospital is also suited to place microchips in your pet! A microchip is a tiny device that contains unique identifying information about a pet. It is approximately the size of a grain of rice and contains a code that corresponds to the contact information of the pet owner. This allows missing cats/dogs to be returned to their rightful home as quickly as possible.
