We Put Mississippi to Work

General Info
TempStaff, Inc. was founded in 1981 and incorporated in the State of Mississippi. We are a locally owned and operated staffing service and are certified as a woman-owned business by WBENC, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. TempStaff has international affiliation through TempNet, a network of independent temporary staffing services. This association of more than 150 offices throughout the United States and Canada allows us to stay abreast of the latest information regarding the staffing industry. In the beginning, TempStaff specialized in temporary office support placement. As the workforce changed, we discovered there were other labor needs to be met and TempStaff Permanent Placement Division was formed. To cover the full spectrum of employment, TempStaff opened the Industrial Division of our company in 1990, and we became a full-service firm in Central Mississippi. In July 2004, TempStaff opened a satellite office in Canton, MS, to meet the needs of the growing Madison County area. TempStaff further expanded by opening offices in Brookhaven and McComb in October 2010.

I guess they have some good reviews and some bad, but I think that what they do for one, they should do for all! I don't see how they could call you and SEND you on a job assignment, I guess that they see fit for you, but the minute you ask about a position that you know you are qualified for, they'll tell you "it's not up to them as to where to send you, the EMPLOYERS actually call them and tell them whose profile they've selected on their website".. I guess if you're unemployed they expect for you to take what you can get and don't ask about what you know you're qualified to do. I asked about the ER Registration Clerk job @ King's Daughters, I was asked to take a typing test and successfully typed 42 wpm, but still no job.. there or anywhere else via TempStaff. I now have a job, that I found on my own, in an office and I am grateful for it. Is TempStaff a family owned business, does anyone know the history of it? Like how or why it got started, or why they are still in operation with such a high turn over rate when it comes to employment? Have a good day "jobseekers"!!

Temp Staff is a great employer. I would apply through them again if need be. From reading some of the other reviews it seemed like someone was mad because they didn't get a job or something, so I felt compelled to write my own review. Once again I say that Temp Staff is a great company to deal with and they are friendly and caring people, in my book. TempStaff keep up the good work!!

Good Deed

I would like to say that my experience with TempStaff wasn't a bad one. I went on an assignment for them in an office setting. I took the job because I had been out of work for 2 yrs. I met some great people. I kind of felt like the lady at the temp service spoke to me or dealt with me as if she was doing me a favor. In fact I was grateful for her doing her good deed for the day, when she offered me work. I will never forget the young ladies I worked with & I hope many of them are still employed. I had to leave the assignment because I was dealing with other personal issues(mainly my father's health). I began looking for other employment once I realized what I made in a week was only gas money. I traveled from McComb to Franklin County. I watched a co worker get turned away for not knowing Temp Staffs policies and procedures. The day after she was dismissed someone from temp agency came to tell us about the policies and procedures. I got a call to work for the state on the day that I felt that the other lady was done wrong. And I was questioning if I still wanted to work for an agency like that, so I guess I got lucky when someone else called. The other lady really wanted to work and I'm sure we both needed the job, but I feel in some way it is a blessing for us both that we are no longer affiliated with temp. I had the lady from temp beg me to stay when I decided to leave, but she had no problem dismissing the other lady. I guess because I'm caucasian, but I don't believe in that type of thing. The lady at temp even called me and sent emails to my personal email address telling me about other job opportunities. My morals would not allow me to keep in commonication with temp because of how they handled business, but I hope the other lady who lost her temp job as a result of one person trying to play God, found another one, because I did. I just wanted to write a review to thank temp for the good deed because without it I wouldn't have gone through what I did in order to get better. I say try them at your own risk and with an open mind. If you don't have a job it couldn't hurt to allow them to find one for you, but be dot your i's and cross your t's because the smallest mistake, could land you back in the employment line or still looking. Thanks again Temp staff. And good luck to "the other lady". Sincerely,

R. Lambert

BIRDS OF A FEATHER STICK TOGETHER

I think that this little company/agency is very predjudiced. I feel that they help who they want to. I just don't understand how I wasn't able to obtain a position with this agency. I was in compliance with everything I was asked to do and still no job (for me). I was looking for employment and really needed a job, so I contacted Temp Staff. I was called back, but ended up being told to call one person after the next. From Brookhaven to McComb to Jackson I was transferred and the end result was me being frustrated and them probably giggling about it. I think that this is a chain of women who don't mind descrimanting against people because they are not the ones looking for work. At first it ticked me off, but I prayed about it and asked God to set it straight. I'm proud to say I found a job through the WIN Job Center but I still think Temp Staff should be investigated. I urge anyone dealing with them to be careful.

Find your OWN

The ONE star is because Temp Staff actually found a temp job for me. I started the job and my son got sick the following day. I could not report to work the following day because my son was hospitalized with th flu and severe dehydration. I called Temp staff & the company I was hired to work for to let them know. I was willing to produce documentation for my absence and even arranged for my son's Father to watch him until he got better. IRENE JOHNSTON was not helpful at all. I asked her to help me to keep the job. She was no help at all whn I needed her to be. I say find your OWN job because they ask that you call and check in over the phone & they never have anything available. When you don't check in, they call you with a job. Another young man working temp through the same company and for the same company got dizzy on the job and had to leave. He was able to return. I find that strange and I will not deal with Temp Staff again and don't advise anyone else to. Words of advice: find your OWN job & leave temp staff and don't deal with Temp Staff.
