This facility was dirty and the people are rude! The nurse practitioner, Kelly, is absolutely awful! I brought my 7th month old in only because our pediatrician office was closed and she barely looked at him. She talked to me like I was stupid and told me to give Tylenol and ibuprofen for a fever.... Well duh! I'd already been doing that! Waste of my time and money for two whole minutes

Went in for a foot swelling issue. Had several swelling issues in the past year. No trauma to the area. Only 1 foot is effected. No X-rays taken, no lab work, no anything, other than vitals and the Dr. Touching my foot for 30 seconds. The room had dirt on the walls, floors were not mopped, pictures on the wall were pinned up. Receptionist acted as if I were a chore, not her income. Kindness was not seen at this location. Funny how "lose weight" was what I heard. I know I have a legit issue, but this clinic DID NOT LIFT A FINGER to investigate it. GROSS INCOMPETANCE is an understatement here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC TO MY WORST ENEMY. Was a waste of time and money.

Early January, 2015, our teenage daughter said she was not feeling well and had developed spots on the roof of her mouth and her tongue. It was the weekend and her doctor's office was closed. We went to the Northwest Ohio Urgent Care Center, Reynolds Rd. Maumee, Ohio. After a 65 minute wait in the very crowded waiting room she was seen for 5 minutes by a Nurse Practitioner who examined her mouth and throat, felt her neck and said, "Your glands are swollen, you have Strep Throat" and prescribed steroids and Amoxicillin. No blood test was performed. Five days later while taking the steroids and the Amoxcillin, as prescribed, a full body rash rapidly appeared with no improvement in the infection which appeared to have stabilized. The rash appeared on a weekday. The following weekday she was seen by her normal Internal Medicine Doctor who took one look at our daughter and had a nurse perform an immediate in-office blood test. The IM doctor said Strep Throat and Mono can mimic each other so it is imperative an in-office blood test is performed to identify which infection it was. A few minutes later the blood test results confirmed the infection was not Strep Throat, it was Mono. The IM doctor then said to immediately stop taking the Amoxicillin as it was causing the rash and to stop taking the steroids. The prescribed treatment is now plenty of rest, lots of fluids, no strenuous physical activity and the Mono will disappear by itself in 2-4 weeks. The Northwest Ohio Urgent Care Center Nurse Practitioner did not perform a blood test, completely misdiagnosed the infection, and prescribed drugs that should not have been taken with a Mono infection. The IM Doctor also recommended we not use an Urgent Care Center but instead go to ER if medical attention is needed.

I didn't have the best experience unfortunately with the NW Ohio Urgent Care facility. I came in with UTI symptoms and of course I got it... so they prescribed me some medication and didn't bother to send out my urine sample for cultures to determine what medication works.. By day 3 I wasn't doing very well. I knew I just needed to change medication and of course when I called they said I still had to come in (I accepted it whatever). So I came and they said I didn't have any bacteria and the only thing the doctor did was just say continue the meds... and made me pay just for him to say that despite how I looked and still not sending my sample out... So by day 4, I was in pain and the symptoms were terrible. I went to a different urgent care to discover I STILL had bacteria and their test was WRONG. So I was put on a different antibiotic and the other urgent care sent my sample for culture like THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO DO. This place ONLY cares about money and don't care about the patients. Do not go here. I highly recommend Sylvania Urgent Care 10 minutes away because at least their doctors actually give a crap about their patients.

Great experience in a pinch!

On a vacation and my daughter had an ear infection at the hotel on our trip. Found this place online and our experience was perfect. The staff was courteous and Dr. Atkins was pleasant and professional.

The Front Desk at Northwest Ohio Urgent Care need more training in the areas of Team work , interpersonal skills, and professionalism and professionalism. You don't become personally offended with a angry patient, but I have seen this happen and I think they staff need more training. Front Desk staff, I think they are not happy with their job so they act rude at times.

Wait it out at the ER

I was just at this "urgent care" on Saturday, and my experience was horrible. The front desk girl was chatting it up with another employee and did not even acknowledge I was there. The nurse was a sassy jerk, and asked why I was there. I told her I have bronchitis. I have had it a number of times, and I know what it is like. She said, "Well, it is probably a cold." Doctor came in, listened to my breathing, that is it. Prescribed an antibiotic and sent me on my way. Very unprofessional. It seemed like the patients were inconveniencing the workers there. Take a little more time, and just go to the ER.

This place is not worth going to because the staff is very rude. The secretary, Hazel, is very sassy and rude. When talking to her today about a billing issue, she hung up on me after I asked for her supervisor's name and phone number and asked why she was contacting over a billing issue and not the billing department. This is not the first time she has hung up on before either. Last time she hung up on me, she blamed me for it, saying I must have hung up on her.

When I tried to call back about the billing issue after Hazel hung up on me, I called about ten times and could not get a hold of Hazel or anyone and never got the option to leave a voice mail. This seemed why to coincidental, so I waited 15 more minutes, and still no answer, but I finally was able to leave a voice mail.

Also, one time I was there, a female, Asian doctor gave me a prescription under an Arab man's name and signed his name on the pad. I did not fill the prescription because of this.

I would not recommend this place to anyone mostly based on Hazel's sassy and rude attitude. I doubt her supervisor would appreciate her treating patients like this.

Avoid at all costs!

I was in this horrible office almost four days ago for a terrible bladder infection, accompanied by blood. The front office personnel were relatively friendly, once I got back to the room, some "doctor" if that's what you want to call her came in and spent a record minute and a half talking to me. She prescribed me a antibiotic an said they would send my test out for a culture and to call back in 2-3 days. I asked her about pain relief for my infection and explained that I had been taking an OTC pain reliever, known as Azo, but it wasn't working. She told me to just take two doses back to

back. Well, being that I am aware of the risks of Azo, I expressed a concern for taking too much, since the drug causes liver damage. The drug is only to be used for two days max, or 12 pills. I have followed her orders and I am now on day three of these pills and have consumed 24 pills, I am now experiencing vomiting and other symptoms that indicate that I have exceeded the amount I should take. When I called this afternoon, I was disregarded. I called yesterday and today to get my results and this rude woman named Porsche snapped at me and told me to contact my PCP, well I have and we are waiting on this urgent care to get my results. It's been over 72 hours now, I have no idea what is going on, my antibiotic is NOT working and they do not care. This afternoon when I called, they told me that they would call me back, and they never did. I should have known better because about five years ago, they charged MY insurance numerous times for someone ELSE'S visit, which almost went as far as my insurance company getting them for fraud. I would have rather just spent 12 hrs in the ER than spend the 10 minutes in this sorry excuse for a urgent care.

This place is horrible. I know of several other who have had terrible experiences as well. I went in with severe bronchitis that was not improving after having been to the emergency room a week before. The doctor was creepy and inappropriate, making comments no one in his position should make. He did not check for broken ribs, and basically told me to wait it out. He recently spent about 5 minutes with a good friend of mine only to tell her to take an over the counter pill she had already tried and did not check or test her for anything. Another friend was refused service even though he was visibly bleeding (because they were about to close). I would NEVER go there again. I'd rather go to a shaman in a tepee in someone's back yard.

great experience

What an experience! Nothing but high marks for this group! I could have stayed in this office all day, the staff is very welcoming, all with great attitudes for customer service. The attending physician was a Black Male with excellent bed side manors, who knew these type of doctors still existed? I would definately return!

My 11month old was very sick and I had been to three urgent cares in Toledo, all closed due to not having any available doctors. We drove up to the new location for Northwest Ohio Urgent Care on Reynolds Road in Toledo and it was ten minutes before closing on a Wednesday night. The doctor that was working was a young woman with long brown hair and right away she said, "bring him in!" She took excellent care of my baby and had made sure our insurance would cover the visit. She was fast but checked all the problem areas and was gentle and sweet to my baby. We left ten minutes after they officially closed and she told me "if he's not better tomorrow, please bring him back. I hope he feels better!" Talk about understanding, nice, and professional! It's not often you find a decent urgent care in Toledo that's physicians are not only sympathetic towards your concerns but also not trying to rush you out of the office due to them being closed. I will def. return!

I grew up in the days of house calls and have since dealt with good private practices, marginal private practices and large HMO's. This place works like a good private practice, with (at my one visit) a knowledgeable doctor, a friendly, efficient and responsive staff and an overall good experience. I was a bit leery going into an urgent care clinic for the first time, but I was very, very pleasantly surprised. I called a couple of other urgent care places and found them wanting. Less professional, told me I had to figure out for myself if they took my insurance, no idea how long my wait might be. I think this might partly because their hours are primarily after work hours and weekends, whereas this clinic is open 8am to 8pm, M-S, as well as 10-5 on Sunday. I'd rather get in first thing in the morning, which I did, than fight with the rest of the after work crowd at another clinic.

Nothing but good things to say about these folks! I don't want to go back, because that means something will be hurting, but if I do...this is where I'm headed.
