Went there for state inspection. They told me that my car needs front break pads. I was surprised because day before I went to my dealer for oil change and state inspection, which they could not do because of their broken machine and they did mention that my car needed break pads after courtesy meticulous inspection. Dealer’s multipoint inspection sheet indicated that my break pads are less than half way through. I guess it is dealer’s word against Midas’s word. But I’m sure dealer would not pass on this job if my car needed pads and release me in unsafe vehicle. Not wanting to pay for failed state inspection, I went with replacement. Midas charged me $99.99 for Centric ceramic front pads only! + $106 for labor. I think I got the DEAL OF a LIFETIME here as such break pads cost no more than $30 all over the internet. I still could have done good mileage on these break pads. Rip off and scam. Will not go there again!

I can't say enough about the treatment and service my wife received. She was not only taken in at the time she was asked to be there, They finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. The price was actually less than a local mechanic had quoted me a week earlier for tail pipe, brakes, all new fluid and hoses. I held my breathe when my wife took it upon herself to have the car fixed. Again pleasantly surprised by the work and price. Thank you we are now customers for life. Kat and Dave

Hi everyone went to this midas about 3,years ago to have my wife toyota's exhaust repaired they checked out the car and told me I needed a complete exhaust system front to back I got a price of 1000.00 dollars to do it. so, I needed it and said ok being in the auto repair business myself for years and needed my wife's car fixed of which I didn't have time to crawl under the car and do it myself also knowing I would at least have a lifetime warranty on my muffler I ok'd the job, I also specifically asked the manager if I would have a lifetime warranty on the muffler he said yes of coarse they completed the job and we drove off about 2 and a half years later my wife's muffler was making a rattling sound inside the muffler when I checked it out It was broken baffles in the muffler. now my wife's car runs perfect no backfiring I tune up it myself so knowing this is a defect I returned with the receipt to this midas expecting to have the muffler replaced and be charged only the labor but, when I spoke to the manager that was there and explained that the muffler had broken baffles and no rot he got agitated with me and walked out of the room and left me waiting for about 15 minutes the came in and looked a receipt as he smerked and

Said your way out of warranty I replied I have a lifetime warranty on the muffler and it's a manufactures defect he the showed me a stipulation that was added to the top of the receipt that stated all exhaust assemblies carry 1 year warranty I was fooled by these people being they advertise a lifetime warranty on mufflers and also by the manager who told me it was warrantied for life. the muffler of coarse, I was angry and drove off I was charged 250.00 for the muffler part which I priced at autozone with a lifetime warranty for 145.00 so I called the corporate office the next day I recieved a call from the arragant manager at midas whom told me they would replace the muffler labor wise for free and I would only pay for the muffler in the amount of 175.00 for a 1 year muffler and 250.00 for a lifetime muffler another scam I could buy the muffler with a lifetime warranty from autozone for 145.00 why would I let them put in a muffler of the same quality that will break in 2 1/2 years again when for 145.00 from autozone I could put in a lifetime muffler and it would take me 10 minutes to install myself on this car. they should have either replaced the muffler and charged me just the labor or given me the muffler free of charge and would have installed it myself I feel these people are sneaky to lie in my face just goes to show I should have carefully read the receipt. when I had my business I would never have done something like that to my customers people be advised watch out for this place they are experts at fooling you check your prices and carefully read your receipts

I had recently visited midas on eliot ave. in Maspeth. I was incredibly satisfied with the price of my auto repair and the customer assistance that I had received. They are trust worthy mechanics and I would recommend them to anyone.
