        I adopted a cat as a Christmas...

        I adopted a cat as a Christmas present for my wife in December 2011. The adoption process was pleasant and efficient and the kitty has been an excellent pet. About a week ago in November 2012 I received a reminder card that the cat was due for her annual shots. The extra touch that really impressed me was that the card had a picture of our cat on it! We went in for the visit to the vet at the shelter this morning. The visit was short and efficient. Everyone was friendly to me and the cat and the price was reasonable. I hope I don't need to adopt again for a long time, but when I do I will go back to the Humane Society in Maryland Heights.
