Today, Dr. Shanableh refused to treat me, physically assaulted me, and violated my emotional and physical space.



After waiting for an hour to be seen, Dr. Shanableh sat down with me to review my self-disclosed information, shook his head, and said “I don’t want to treat you.” I asked him why, and he said “It’s a free country.” Aghast, I asked him to explain why or to give me a referral, and he said, “I could refer you to psychiatrist, but that would take too long.” He stood up to leave and I continued to plead with him for more information. I asked him to give me my records back if he was not going to treat me, and he said “I don’t treat loose morals,” while holding his folder tightly to his chest. He pushed into me to move through the doorway, spilling my hot coffee that I had been holding in a thermos in my hand down my chest. I was stunned, and nobody in the office said anything or helped. I then asked a staff member to reverse my copay charge, but did not clarify whether they would attempt to bill my insurance.



This is a shocking breach of appropriate practice, and I hope nobody gives this entitled misogynist their money.

I simply called to find out if they were accepting new patients and if they accepted my insurance. The "lady" that I spoke with had no manners and acted as if I was bothering her by calling the office. I can't say what the doctors are like b/c I told her I would find another doctor.

Dr. Shanableh is a very good physician. I recommend him to anyone. He is one of those Dr. who remember their patients and doesn't make you feel like a number and knows what he is talking about , even in helping you lose weight to better your health. Very recommended as a family physician.
