My neck and back are made of cement, and I live with chronic illness affecting my joints -- so I am discerning when it comes to massage. My session with Stacey was much more than relaxing -- It felt deeply healing. On a physical level, Stacey finds the perfect pressure, targets points of tension, and massages those areas with firmness and precision (and I like very firm pressure). There's a sense of ease and flow to the whole experience. On an energetic level, she shifted something that must have opened up energy channels in my body. I carry a serious amount of tension in my neck and back, and chronically have a subtle-level anxiety just underneath the surface -- for the rest of that day and night, I sank into a profound state of relaxation and had a long night of deeply restful sleep. I think she simply incorporates whatever is needed for your body -- aromatherapy, cranial sacral therapy, warm towels. All of that is wonderful -- and -- when going to a high-end spa, you want to know the therapist will be effective at the end of the day. And Stacey is truly, phenomenally skilled.



My facial with Bernadette was also wonderful. She tailors the facial according to your needs and really takes care of you. To be honest, I was in such a state of relaxation from my massage with Stacey that I bordered on sleep the whole session. My face was glowing and fresh for days afterwards. I have also been feeling stuck around some chronic skin problems, and her recommendations have improved my skincare targeting those issues. (Sometimes suggested treatments are out of my price range, but the way I wash my face and the kind of face-wash I can use were things I could afford to change.) -- Also, she gives feedback about your skin and offers suggestions very respectfully, with a sense of ease and no pressure around anything.



My college friends and I had a half-day retreat here, and everyone at Elegance hosted us with lavish attention and care. We lounged in the luscious garden in our robes and cushiony slippers, sipping herbal tea and coffee (and mimosas we had brought with us), the most delectable homemade sea salt oatmeal cookies. They begin each massage with foot soaks in beautiful ceramic bowls with freshly picked flowers. What I appreciated the most was their kind and down-to-earth attentiveness, keeping it both professional and genuine.

I've been to other overpriced and overdone places until I found Daniela a few years ago. She is very professional and will make you look pretty but not overdone.
