Westchester Joint Water Works is a public benefit corporation which operates the water systems of its three member municipalities consisting of the village of Mamaroneck, the town of Mamaroneck and the town/village of Harrison. Based in Mamaroneck, N.Y., it jointly owns the supply and transmission mains, pump stations and storage facilities and operate the entire system as a unit. The responsibilities of the company include providing tap and service line installation, backflow prevention, maintenance of meters, remote reading devices and appurtenances, meter reading and rendering bills, water for temporary use and cross connection control as well as offer repair and maintenance of water main, service line, hydrant repair, hydrant flushing and fire flow test.
