I saw Dr. Conti today for the first time because I had a broken wisdom tooth. I had previously seen a different dentist at a high-volume type practice for a root canal and crown, but was also told by that dentist that I had 9 cavities and areas of periodontal disease. At the time that I had the root canal and crown, I couldn't afford to get a cleaning and fillings because the crown wasn't covered by insurance and I exhausted my benefits on the root canal (crowns are very expensive). I knew that I was going to see a different dentist once I had the ability to pay for the work, though I was skeptical about the cavity count.

Dr. Conti advised me that the enamel on my wisdom tooth broke and because it was too far back in my mouth for it to ever really get cleaned, I agreed that extraction (not filling) was the best approach. Having also been wary of the "9 cavity" diagnosis, I also asked if he could perform an exam and take x-rays.

I found that Dr. Conti and his staff are amazingly friendly and relatable, as well as skilled and consummate professionals. I was made as comfortable as possible for the work I needed. Not only did I have the tooth extracted, but I had a full exam, cleaning, and a cavity filled. Dr. Conti easily could have charged to fill more "cavities," but instead, he recommended a prescription toothpaste which, while not cheap, may help to stave off the other areas from becoming cavities that the other dental practice told me I needed filled (and that would have charged me over $1,000 to fill AFTER insurance on the plan I previously had). He sells it at the same price as my pharmacy - no mark-up.

While the other dental practice was going to charge me to take care of so-called areas of gum disease, no such areas were found on examination today, and I only needed a routine cleaning. And, about an hour after I left, Dr. Conti called to make sure everything was ok following the extraction. I recommend Dr. Conti and his staff without any reservation and with complete trust.
