Fillings
Crowns
A dental crown is typically needed because the tooth has suffered too much decay or has been extremely damaged due to a break. The tooth has the cavity removed and is then shaped to fit a crown. The dental crown at Stagecoach Children's Dental Center is made of stainless steel and provides the strength and durability every child needs from their teeth. A crown is long-lasting and enables the existing tooth to resume normal oral function.

Root Canal Treatment
Our kids dental office in Magnolia works hard to save every tooth, if possible. Our dentist understands the importance of retaining the original teeth. One of the methods of saving a tooth is through a root canal. A root canal is utilized when tooth decay has reached the nerve of the tooth. This decay can cause an infection and must be cleaned out. Once the decay and the infected nerve is removed, the area is medicated and filled with a filling. Once this is complete, the tooth typically receives a dental cap to protect the existing tooth.

A tooth extraction may be necessary for various reasons. Although we always try to save every tooth, sometimes the decay is very deep or the tooth is infected. In those instances, extraction of the tooth is the only option. We will make certain that your child is comfortable during this short procedure. Also, our pediatric dentist always informs the patient and their parent of why a tooth extraction may be necessary.

General Dentistry
In 1994, he was transferred to Norfolk, Virginia to complete a one-year fellowship in general dentistry. Upon graduating from his fellowship, he reported to the dental clinic in Millington, Tennessee to be their comprehensive dentist. He was accepted into pediatric dental residency at the dental school at the University of Tennessee in 1997 and completed his Certificate of Specialty in 1999. His last tour on active duty in the Navy was spent as the pediatric dentistry department head at the Branch Dental Clinic in Rota, Spain from 1999-2002. After departing active duty, Dr. Coe joined the Naval Reserves once again until his retirement in July 2010, having dedicated 20 years of honorable service to his country.
